AI copywriting vs human

Everyone’s talking about ChatGPT and other cool AI copywriting tools. And we get it: It’s cool. But here are 5 reasons why you shouldn’t turn to AI copywriting tools alone. Just yet. 😉

1. Unlike AI, humans can feel. When you’ve experienced true pain, joy, or heartbreak you have a deep reservoir of words to choose from that can evoke emotions in a reader.

2. A team of real copywriters, like ours, on your team is like a creativity potluck. Everyone brings something different to the table, while AI regurgitates the same, recycled thoughts.

3. People can twist and turn their words in nuanced ways. That’s something that AI lacks.

4. AI copywriting systems are only as good as the data they’re trained on. And the prompts they’ve given. With technical or scientific copy, they may not have the granular level of detail an expert in the field might. And if you’re not feeding it the right prompt, your AI copywriting tool won’t give you much to work with.

5. Sure, AI can change its answer based on your next prompt. But does it know context? Does it share your understanding of “make this sound edgier?” Because if not, who knows when you’ll be on the same page.

This isn’t to say AI copywriting tools won’t help you ideate and outline. But if you don’t want your brand to sound like everyone else, you’re better off with real people.

Still want to speed up your process with AI?

We suggest using an AI copywriting tool for your first draft. That way, you get all the ideas out there. From there, you can add those dazzling finishing touches, the extra special sauce that makes it pop. More often than not, that’s going to come from a real-life writer who’s seen a thing or two. 😉
